Cast on 30 stitches using 4mm needles and DK/8ply yarn.

Row 1 - knit to end of row
Row 2 - k1 yo k13 yo k2 yo k13 yo k1: there are now 34 stitches
Row 3 - knit to end of row, knitting yarns-over from the left
Row 4 - k2 yo k13 yo k4 yo k13 yo k2: there are now 38 stitches
Row 5 - knit to end of row
Row 6 - knit to end of row
Rows 7-14 - repeat Rows 5-6
Row 15 - k10, k2tog four times, k2, ssk four times, k10: there are now 30 stitches
Row 16 - knit to end of row
Row 17 - k8, then while casting off: k1, k2tog thrice, ssk thrice, k1
      then, no longer casting off, 8:
      there are now 16 stitches remaining on the needles
Row 18 - k8, cast on 4, k8: there are now 20 stitches
Row 19 - knit to end of row
Row 20 - cast off knitwise

Sew up sole and back.

Takes about 25-30g cotton yarn.
